The Managed Domain Service is a proprietary SEPPmail Add-On for domain encryption. Here, for each participating customer the public S/MIME domain keys which are automatically created on every SEPPmail Secure E-Mail Gateway are automatically exchanged between all SEPPmail Secure E-Mail Gateways and their OEM derivatives. Therefore, in any exchange between SEPPmail Secure E-Mail Gateways, usually the domain encryption is automatically available.

 

In addition, the SEPPmail Managed Domain Service also encrypts the email subject lines. This is possible because it is already known when an email is sent that the receiving server also has a SEPPmail Secure E-Mail Gateway available for the execution of cryptographic actions.

 

The SEPPmail Managed Domain Service is already provided to all senders via the basic licence (see Basic Systems And Licence) in the framework of the domain encryption. No licence for Signature And Encryption is required for this purpose.
