In this procedure, the GINA password relates directly to the email. This completely eliminates the registration process.

However, this also means that a GINA message is irretrievably lost for the recipient if the password has been lost!

This procedure is usually used when the safe transfer of documents is required, e.g. during a phone call with the communication partner, mostly just once.

The procedure for this method is as follows:

1.The sender composes an email. This is transmitted in plain text up to the SEPPmail Secure E-Mail Gateway.

2.SEPPmail generates an AES256 key during the dispatch of each GINA email and thus encrypts the email (symmetrically).

a) At the same time, via a second channel (directly via SMS or indirectly, e.g. by telephone) a password that only works for this one email is transmitted to the recipient.

3.The email encrypted this way is packed into the carrier email and completely delivered to the recipient.

4.The recipient opens the attachment of the carrier email, creating a secure https connection to SEPPmail, and transmits the original message from the attachment of the carrier email. Subsequently, they will be asked to enter their email-specific password. No registration process is necessary!

5.After decryption, the message is displayed in the browser via the secure https connection.
