The software of the SEPPmail Secure E-Mail Gateway is based on the OpenBSD operating system. This operating system has proven itself over the years as extremely reliable and resilient to attacks. The security of operating system was also further enhanced by SEPPmail. For instance, all non-essential libraries were removed. Additionally, only the modules required for functionality were implemented. In the compressed version (operating system and application), the firmware has a size of approx. 200 MB.

 

With this concept, the build-up of structures compliant with the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (in short: PCI) is possible (password rules, SIEM, Samhain integration, encrypted file system, etc.).
