Generally, the SEPPmail Secure E-Mail Gateway trusts the internal network. This means that contents are usually sent between the appliance and the email server in an unencrypted manner. The path between the SEPPmail Secure E-Mail Gateway and the email server, on the other hand, should be encrypted.
