Import PKCS#12 certificate structure(s)

This submenu is called up from EDIT MANAGED DOMAIN S/MIME domain encryption.

Description

Passphrase

Input for the passphrase with which the private S/MIME key was encrypted in a PKCS#12 file during export.

PKCS#12 file

By clicking the "Select file" the S/MIME key file to be imported is selected. This file must contain the complete key pair, i.e. private and public keys.

PKCS#12 files have the file extension .p12 or .pfx.

Only valid keys can be imported.

Attention:

If no MPKI is used and the certificates and keys are managed manually, it must be ensured that new certificates are always issued on the basis of a new private key.

If the old private key is used, the existing, possibly expired certificates may be overwritten during import. Incoming mails encrypted with this old key can then no longer be decrypted.

By clicking the Import button completes the process.
