Initial situation:

MS PURVIEW (formerly Microsoft Advanced Information Protection (AIP)) is to be used for Data Leak Prevention (DLP) together with the SEPPmail Secure E-Mail Gateway.

Question:

Is AIP supported by SEPPmail Secure E-Mail Gateway?

Answer:

In this case, the SEPPmail Secure E-Mail Gateway works based on the rules defined in the AIP.

For example, an AIP rule could define that certain content, such as a credit card number, automatically sets the trigger for encrypting the e-mail.

Example:

The rule displayed below would be executed for documents that are sent as attachment by e-mail and have the keyword "[Secret]" in the attachment, and would then add the X-header "x-smenc = yes" to the e-mail.

SEPPmail evaluates the set X-header (if applicable, see also Subject line Keywords / (X-)Header) and then encrypts the e-mail.
