Initial situation:

The SEPPmail Secure E-Mail Gateway is operated in MS Azure and is to be backupped via the mechanisms available in MS Azure.

 

Question:

How can the SEPPmail Secure E-Mail Gateway be backupped in MS Azure?

 

Answer:

Generally, as manufacturer, SEPPmail cannot make any recommendations about third-party tools and therefore cannot assume any warranty for them. For this reason, it is strongly recommended that the backup procedure supplied by SEPPmail is used (see also Backup) - if necessary in parallel.

However, if a further backup procedure is desired, a corresponding GitHub article (Backing up an Azure VM (like SEPPmail) with Snapshots) as well as a YouTube Video are available.
