The services lifecyle in seppmail.cloud is managed under the menu item Services.
The services go through the following stages:
Status |
Description |
---|---|
ordered |
Ordered by the partner. |
confirmed |
Order confirmed by partner and checked for consistency by the system. |
provisioning |
Deployment is in progress. As a rule, the process cannot be completed due to an outstanding task of the partner - for example, the setting of a required DNS record. |
provisioned |
Deployment is complete. The service is ready. |
cancelled |
The service has been terminated by the partner. Nothing has been removed from the systems yet. |
deprovisioning |
Services are in the process of being dismantled. Usually, the process cannot yet be completed due to a manual action on the part of the partner or SEPPmail. |
deprovisioned |
Services are removed from the systems. At least until the usage settlement is completed and for statistical purposes, the entries remain for a certain time. |
Order
If a service is added, it is initially in the status "ordered".
Via Confirm domains and services, a first consistency check of the ordered services takes place. This may take some minutes.
The view can be refreshed manually via Refresh data.
Via the then available button Deploy domain and services, the actual provisioning is started. If the partner does not actively start the deployment, it will be activated during the automatic deployment, which runs several times a day.
If actions of the partner are necessary for the deployment, the status remains on "provisioning" until the next status is triggered. Actions are communicated to the partners via E-mail. If an E-mail address is only to receive notifications, but is not to take over any admin tasks itself (typically the mail address of the service management tool), a user with the role "Workflow_Mails" can be set up.
Order additional services
For an existing domain, additional services can be ordered via Add Services (for example, adding "Sign/Encrypt" in addition to "Sign-Only").
These are treated in the same way as the initial order and trigger further tasks, if necessary.
Cancel (terminate) services
If a single, several or all service(s) of a domain are to be cancelled, this can be done via Cancel Service.
In order to allow for an orderly migration of services, the removal of services will not be automatic. SEPPmail will not effectively dismantle a service until at least 30 days after termination.
To initiate a faster removal, please contact the SEPPmail support.
A service will be charged for as long as effective usage continues, regardless of its "cancelled" status.
