In the seppmail.cloud, it is possible to send PGP-encrypted E-mails to external recipients if these have uploaded their PGP key in a GINA account.

  1. Create a GINA E-mail for the external recipient by sending them an E-mail with the keyword [priv] in the mail subject.
  2. The external recipient has to register once at GINA and then reads the E-mail.
  3. The external recipient can then open their profile (on the top right) and upload the PGP key in the section "Key Management". Once the PGP key is uploaded, the process is finished. Encrypted E-mails to this recipient are now encrypted with PGP.

There are three options:

  • Enter the keyword "[confidential]" in the mail subject.
  • Send the E-mail via the Outlook Addin.
  • Not recommended: switch on the encryption in general in the seppmail.cloud portal (this way every E-mail would be encrypted and the GINA fallback would be necessary very often).
