Description

LinkX.509 certificate

Clicking on the "Select file" browser button will open a prompt for the selection of either the certificate file (file extension CRT, CER oder P7B) for an individual import or an unencrypted ZIP file without folder structure containing the certificate files for bulk import.

Note:
If other S/MIME certificates are unintentionally selected, these are not imported or, in the case of ZIP files, only the contained S/MIME certificates are imported.

Linkor X.509 certificate as a string

If a certificate is present in text format, it can be entered via the input field. The input of several certificates is also possible by simply stringing them together:

Clicking on the Import button uploads the indicated key material to the appliance.

Imported certificates are used for encryption as of the import.

The type of certificates which can be imported depends on the selection made under ADVANCED SETTINGS Advanced Settings Policies Refuse import of certificates with a signature algorithm using SHA-1 or lower.

For the import, a certificate must have the correct X.509 certificate extension "Key Usage" with the value "Key encipherment:".

Generally, these certificates also have the values "Data encipherment:" and "Digital Signature:".
