This submenu is called up from X.509 Root Certificates.

Description

anchor link X.509 certificate

Clicking on the "Select file" browser button will open a prompt for the selection of either the certificate file (file extension CRT, CER oder P7B) for an individual import or an unencrypted ZIP file without folder structure containing the certificate files for bulk import.

If other CA certificates are unintentionally selected, these are not imported or, with ZIP files, only the contained CA certificates are imported.

If a certificate is present in text format, it can be entered via the input field. The input of several certificates is also possible by simply stringing them together:

anchor link CheckBoxActive Automatically trust the imported X.509 root certificates

By default, this option is active.

When the option is active, the CAs to be imported are immediately trusted (see X.509 Root Certificates, table column Trust state Status "trusted").

When the option is deactivated, CAs are imported with unknown Trust state (Status "?").

 

Clicking on Import button uploads the indicated key material to the appliance.

Generally, an upload of insecure key material (SHA-1 and MD5, MD4, MD2) is not possible.
