Initial situation:
SEPPmail Microsoft Outlook COM-Add-In is installed on the MS Outlook Client. However, when opening a new email, no Buttons For Sending Emails can be seen.
Cause:
a)In this case, the SEPPmail Microsoft Outlook COM-Add-In is automatically deactivated by the MS Outlook client.
As a rule, this behaviour only occurs in terminal server environments operating under heavy load.
Individual remedy:
At this point, no solution can be implemented via the SEPPmail Microsoft Outlook COM-Add-In configuration, as the control is carried out via MS Outlook itself.
Instructions on how to prevent MS-Outlook from deactivating the SEPPmail Microsoft Outlook COM-Add-In can be found at
Registry entries for VSTO add-ins
Support for keeping add-ins enabled
In detail, first the entries of SEPPmail Microsoft Outlook COM-Add-In must be removed via the registriation editor from
HKEY_USERS\..\Software\Microsoft\Office\16.0\Outlook\Resiliency\DisabledItems
and then the key
HKEY_USERS\..\Software\Microsoft\Office\16.0\Outlook\Resiliency\DoNotDisableAddinList\SEPPmail.OutlookAddIn.AddinModule
must be created to prevent it from being deactivated again.
b)In the configuration of the logged-in user, it is specified that no Buttons For Sending Emails should be displayed.
Individual remedy:
Activate the corresponding buttons directly in the Registry or via the Add-In Administration.
