By default, the add-in makes both machine-specific entries in the Registry Hive HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE (HKLM) as well as in the user-specific HKEY_CURRENT_USER (HCU).

If, for instance, the enforcement of default specifications of the button settings in the entire company is desired, the saving of user-related settings (HCU) can be optionally deactivated.

With new users, the button settings are taken over from the machine settings (HKLM) into the user settings (HCU). Changes to the machine settings are also taken over for existing users.

Below, the registry values for the add-in in the area of

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\SEPPmail\OutlookAdd-In

for 32 bit machines respectively

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Wow6432Node\SEPPmail\OutlookAdd-In

for 64 bit machines and their respective functions are described:

or a sequence of the hostnames of the [default] GINA and the respective GINA), for example
 securemail.mycompany.tld/customer1
When using virtual hosting, only the FQDN of the Hostname of the respective GINA to be used is to be entered.

Categorize

DWORD

0/1

enable/disable categorization of emails (see also Introduction)

empty

Note:

In this procedure, categories can be created, which are set according to the action selected in the add-in. This enables the sender to subsequently see in the folder "Sent Items" which action, if any, was selected via the add-in when sending the email.

(new in 2.0.7)

CategorizeHistory

DWORD

0/1

With the activation of this value, the emails which have been processed since the last start of Outlook are categorised

empty

anchor link Note:

The categorisation of all emails since the last start can sometimes take a long time after the add-in has been installed.

This depends, among other things, on the number of emails in the respective mailbox.

Especially on terminal servers, this can lead to general bottlenecks.

LMOnly

DWORD

0/1

Activating LMOnly deactivates the user-specific saving of settings in HCU

PlaceSubjectFlags

AtStart

DWORD

0/1

Specifies whether control commands are inserted at the beginning of the subject line. In the default (false), control commands are added at the end of the subject line.

This setting is only relevant if "subject-mod" is activated.

SMWarning

DWORD

0/1

If active, a warning message will be issued before sending the email if no encryption is requested.

(new in 1.6.8)SMWarningDomain
Whitelist

SZ

Entry of target email domains separated by a space which are to be excepted from the warning.

subject-mod

DWORD

0/1

By activating the subject-mod, subject line keywords are used instead of X-headers to control the appliance.

When sending, any control commands (e.g. "[confidential]", etcetera) still present will first be removed from the subject line and then subsequently  added to the subject in accordance with the settings made by the buttons in the add-in.

empty

Note:

In case of active subject modification, the user can see the extended subject in the folder "Sent Items" and can track the control commands for each email.

If emails are sent to internal and external recipients at the same time, the internal recipients will also see the subject changes.

Tooltips

DWORD

0/1

Activates or deactivates the tooltips for the buttons

UsageTimeStamp

SZ

YYYY,MM,DD,hh,mm,ss

Is set at the time of the last configuration change and required for the HKLM/HCU comparison
