Note:

To use the seppmail.cloud outbound service, any mail hosting server must support recipient filtering (at least after end-of-data, better after rcpt-to).

Note:

In inline mode, outgoing messages are only accepted if they are well-formatted in accordance with RFC. RFC 5321 and 5322 in particular apply to headers.

  • The following headers must be present: Date, From
  • The following headers may only be present once: CC, Date, From, Sender, Subject, To
  • Maximum of 50 recipients in To/CC headers (GDPR)
Note: This limit can be circumvented with BCC. This is not recommended for several reasons:
    a) Messages with large recipient lists are still subject to the rate limit.
    b) Bulk mails are not permitted on the seppmail.cloud.
We recommend using a specialised service provider for recurring mailings to large recipient lists.

Note:

In the case of inline provisioning, all mail domains hosted in the Microsoft Tenant must be routed inbound via the SEPPmail partner connector (the reason for this is Office 365 message attribution). In this case, all domains of the Microsoft Tenant must be provisioned in the seppmail.cloud portal with at least the inbound filter.

Note:

In inline mode, seppmail.cloud only accepts outbound messages with no more than 50 visible recipients in To: or CC: headers combined. Any message above this limit will be rejected with the error message "maximum number of recipients in header to,cc exceeded (51>50)".
