Description

LinkSC-SERVICE

"seppmail.cloud service licence"

This is the basic licence and is automatically added for each user created. Therefore this licence cannot be deselected.

It includes, amongst other features:

  • Portal access for administrators and user
  • Logs and audit log access
  • User Management, role-based access rights
  • Reporting
  • Domain Encryption

For partners, the full service description can be found in the Partner Portal section under Documents.

LinkSC-CERT

"seppmail.cloud certificate"

This service is used to obtain certificates for the respective user.

A DNS entry is needed. The MPKI provider (SwissSign) uses this entry to check whether the applicant is authorised to obtain certificates for the respective domain. The service is usually available one working day after the DNS record is created.

The seppmail.cloud has a global contract for the purchase of certificates. It is not possible to import or activate a customer's own contract into the seppmail.cloud. However, it is possible to import still existing certificates (see Import of existing user certificates).

LinkSC-SIGONLY

"seppmail.cloud sign-only"

This service is used to sign the outgoing E-mails of the user exclusively. Encryption of E-mails is not possible.

LinkSC-SIGENC

"seppmail.cloud sign+encrypt"

Outgoing E-mails of the user are signed via this service and also encrypted on request.

To automate the SSL certificate reference for the GINA technology included in this service, an additional DNS entry is required.

LinkSC-F-INBOUND

"seppmail.cloud filter inbound"

This service provides the input filters. These are used to protect against spam and malware in incoming E-mails and their attachments (e.g. in documents, images and QR codes).

The partner receives information about the MX record for the customer domain, as well as information about the required Welcome list entry in the E-mail system of the recipient domain. This prevents messages that have already been filtered via seppmail.cloud from going through another filter. A combination of several filters would significantly increase the false positive rate. Furthermore, any troubleshooting would be much more difficult.

LinkSC-F-OUTBOUND

"seppmail.cloud filter inbound"

This service provides the output filters. These are used to protect against spam and malware in outgoing E-mails.
The partner receives the information for the relay server (smarthost, connector) to be used in the mail system of the recipient domain. SEPPmail must also be informed of the IP addresses from which the mail system of the recipient domain connects to seppmail.cloud so that they can be activated.

It is important that the SPF entries for the domains are adjusted according to the information in the activation E-mail.

LinkSC-MS365

"seppmail.cloud Microsoft 365 Integration"

This service is required for M365 integration (see also M365 using the Exchange Online Filter if applicable).

The filter services SC-F-INBOUND and SC-F-OUTBOUND are not available in this constellation.

For integration into the mailflow of the customer, either "seppmail.cloud MS365 integration" or "seppmail.cloud filter inbound" or "…outbound" are needed. Details can be found in chapter Integration / Architecture.
