The desired actions to be performed by the appliance - for example, signatures and/or encryption - can be triggered as a global action on the appliance or via predefined features individually on the client (see subject line keywords, Microsoft Outlook Confidentiality, SEPPmail Microsoft Outlook Add-In, if applicable also IBM Notes: Creating An Encrypted Send Button).

 

Automated control is possible, if needed, via strictly defined rules, e.g. based on sender and/or recipient addresses and domains (see ENCRYPTION POLICY). Additionally, a grouping of users (see Groups) for this purpose is possible. Furthermore, corresponding parameters (triggers) of third-party systems can be taken over via LDAP queries. These options are available via the Custom commands of the menu Mail Processing in the section Ruleset generator.

When the SEPPmail Secure E-Mail Gateway is first commissioned, it is made available with a predefined set of rules with the corresponding standard features (triggers) for controlling the SEPPmail Secure E-Mail Gateway. The configuration options for controlling the SEPPmail Secure E-Mail Gateway are described in detail in Mail Processing Ruleset generator.
