This submenu is called up from Mail System by clicking on Edit Mail Templates.

Email templates are predefined messages which are sent automatically in specified cases. The sender of such messages is the postmaster address entered under Mail System SMTP settings and/or Managed Domains ADD/EDIT MANAGED DOMAIN Settings.

Generally, these templates are used in bounce emails as can be selected under Managed Domains ADD/EDIT MANAGED DOMAIN Bounce templates.

Additionally, the templates created here can also be opened under Custom commands of the section Ruleset generator of the menu Mail Processing.

By default, the basic templates bounce_noauth, bounce_noenc and bounce_noseckey are available.

These basic templates can be adapted; however, they should generally not be adapted. They serve as basis for further templates, e.g. individually adapted to clients, and can be copied correspondingly.

New templates can be created via Add, or existing templates can be edited empty, copied empty or deleted empty.

If an email template is to be deleted via the trash button empty, it is to be ensured beforehand that it is not assigned to any Managed domain (see Mail System) or possibly used in Custom commands for the section Ruleset generator of the menu Mail Processing.

When creating new templates, it can be specified via the name whether or not the original email is to be sent as an attachment.

If "attachmail" is found in the name of the template, the original email will be attached when it is sent.

For security reason, the entire original email should never be attached in the case of bounce emails.
