If the SEPPmail Secure E-Mail Gateway has finished its start-up sequence, a login prompt appears:

After login with

standard user name: admin

standard password: admin

the IP address (in this example 172.16.161.50) is to be entered.

The subnet (in this example 255.255.255.0) and gateway address (in this example 172.16.161.1) must also be entered

empty

Note:

By default, the appliance initially obtains an IP address dynamically - exclusively (!) on "Interface 1" (see IP Addresses).

Thus, the administration interface can also be reached without the above-mentioned console input, if applicable.

In most cases, this is relevant in the case of installation in cloud environments.

After this the URL for the administrator login is displayed:

Now the web administration portal of the SEPPmail Secure E-Mail Gateway can be reached via the displayed URL in the browser until a reboot (see Login As Administrator).

If necessary, the "Initial network setup" can be called up again via the Rudimentary System Commands.
