Password settings for system (not GINA) accounts
The assignment of a password is only necessary for logging in to the administration interface. The authorisations for users with a password are controlled by group membership (see ).This means that the password rules defined here are valid for the interactive login at the administration interface.

Minimum password length:

Selection of the minimum password length (4 to 16 characters, default is 8).

Must contain at least one lower-case letter
|
Defines whether a lower-case letter must be included in the password.

Must contain at least one upper-case letter

Defines whether a lower-case letter must be included in the password.

Must contain at least one number
|
Defines whether a number must be included in the password.

Must contain at least one special character

Defines whether a special character must be included in the password.

Must not contain own name, user name or email address

Defines whether the password may contain the user’s own name or email address.

Must be different from previous password(s)

Defines with how many previous passwords no match is allowed when changing the password (1 to 28, default is 4).

Defines whether and after how many days the password must be changed (default is 90).

Accounts are locked for minutes after failed login attempts.

Defines after how many failed login attempts due to wrong password entry (default is 5) and for how long (in minutes, default is 30) the access is blocked.
