Unless the GINA technology has been not disabled (see Mail Processing Ruleset generator Advanced options Completely disable GINA technology), a corresponding log file is maintained, which can be viewed via the Show GINA log... button.
Via Show blocked mails log..., the log regarding the emails rejected by the SEPPmail Secure E-Mail Gateway can be viewed. Here, in addition to the usual rejection scenarios (SMTP Codes 4xx und 5xx), especially rejections resulting from the licensing of the Protection Pack and activated block-/greylisting (see Mail System Antispam, Block lists and Manual blocklisting / welcomelisting) are also listed.
Via Show audit log..., access to the administration interface can be tracked.
The log output can be filtered by date and the number of returned rows can be limited.
With Show system log..., system-relevant log entries (for example, virus signature updates, MPKI certificate references, and so on) are displayed.

In this section, you will find various download options for the mail log.
Since the last 30 days are usually sufficient for a log analysis, you can use the Download log (last 30 days) button to download this partial log; it is then made available as maillog-latest.txt.
The SEPPmail Secure E-Mail Gateway generally moves the data into an archive file once a size of 30 MB is reached. Clicking the Download log (complete) button, the current log file as well as all existing archive files are downloaded in one stream into a file (maillog.txt).
Clicking the Download log archive button only downloads all archives (maillog-archive.txt).

Click on Delete log archive index to delete the search index of the log archive files in order to solve possible display problems. In rare cases, these can be caused, for example, by rotating the logs. The index is rebuilt overnight. Thus, a search immediately after deleting the index can take longer than usual.
Via Delete mail log archive, all log archive files of the email log are deleted. This may be necessary when the log partition is almost full (see Home Disk statistics Log).
If necessary, the archives can be backed up to another system via Mail log archive Download log archive.
Delete GINA log archive is the counterpart for Delete mail log archive and deletes all log archive files of the GINA logs
If desired, the deletion of log entries can also be automated using System Log Cleanup - Automatically delete log archives older than [ ] days.
The Back button returns the user to the higher-level Logs menu.
