Initial situation:

The GINA interface is also to be made available to internal users, e.g. for Large File Transfer (LFT) or SEPPmail IME Under Exclusive Utilisation Of The GINA Technology.

Question:

Is it possible for an internal user to automatically login at the GINA interface or do they already have to be registered with a GINA account?

Answer:

If the External authentication was activated for the Managed domain under EDIT MANAGED DOMAIN, including the corresponding options Authenticate GINA users from this domain to external LDAP server and Automatically create GINA account if user exists on external LDAP server, any internal user of this email domain can use their email address and their network (Windows) password to login at the GINA interface.

Otherwise, the user must have received a GINA or LFT email before already.

An alternative option for creating the GINA account is self-registration. However, this is only possible if the corresponding option has been set in the detail settings of the corresponding GINA Domain under GINA SETTINGS FOR Extended settings Allow account self-registration in GINA portal without initial mail.
