If a multitenancy licence is available, the client capability of the system can be activated or the clients can be managed in this menu.
Sections on this page:
After selecting Enable multiple customer handling, the client capability can be activated via Enable. The prerequisite for this is the existence of the corresponding licence (see Home licence Multitenancy).
Attention: Recommendations for this can be found, among others, in the article Clients: Securing the SEPPmail Secure E-Mail Gateway. |
(changed in 12.0.9) If this is already active, it is possible to select a client via the drop-down menu and to delete it via Delete or to edit it via Edit... . Additionally, the
Create new customer... button opens the submenu with options to create new clients.
Via Import customer... the export file (see ) of a client can be imported.
After switching on the client capability, there are already two standard customers, ("No Customer" and "Default Customer"), which are required for internal administration and cannot be deleted.
If the client capability is activated subsequently for an already existing installation with already existing GINA accounts, these accounts are initially allocated to the "Default Customer". In order to facilitate the subsequent assignment of the accounts to the correct client, the Managed domain from which the account was created is displayed.
The "No Customer" offers the possibility to completely exclude individual accounts - if necessary temporarily - from the client capability.
If, with a later activation of the client capability, the immediate allocation to a client from the "Default Customer" is not desired, e.g. if the account is to be allocated to a client which is to be set-up subsequently, it can be "No Customer" intermediately in the "No Customer".

Each client must always have (at least) one own GINA domain created just for it (if applicable, see GINA Domains Domains Create new GINA domain ). If the client has several Managed Domains, the same GINA domain can be allocated to all of them (see Mail System Managed Domains Settings GINA domain).
External recipients communicating with several clients by means of GINA receive a separate GINA account for each client, including the resulting restrictions (see GINA Domains Domains Extended settings).
Public keys (see OpenPGP Public Keys and X.509 Certificates) are available to all clients for encryption.
